            Transport connection to all directions: Located in the north of Guangzhou, Huadu is home to some of the most important air (Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport), railway (Guangzhou North Station), waterway (Huadu Port), and road (expressways and freeways) transportation resources of Guangzhou, and is truly the northern gate of the city.

            Expressways: Foshan-Qingyuan Expressway, Guangzhou-Qingyuan Expressway, Airport Expressway and its North Extension, Second Airport Expressway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, Zhaoqing-Huadu Expressway, West (North) Second Ring Expressway, Foshan-Jiangmen Expressway North Extension (in planning), and Huadu-Dongguan Expressway West Extension.Freeways: Huadu Avenue, Yayao Middle Road, Hongmian Avenue, Guanghua First Freeway, Airport North Approach Road, Xinhua Avenue; optimization of Shanqian Avenue and Baiyun Sixth Line is in consideration.

            Rail transit: Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou High Speed Rail, Metro Line 3, Metro Line 9, Guangqing Intercity, Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity, Guangzhou-Foshan Intercity Beltway, and projects in planning include Guangzhou-Heyuan High-speed Rail, Guangzhou-Qingyuan-Yongzhou High-speed Rail, Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Macau High-speed Rail, Second Guangzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Rail, Guangning Branch Line of Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Rail, West Extension Line of Metro Line 9, Metro Line 18, Metro Line 24, and Airport-North Railway Station rapid rail transit.。

            Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

            December 14, 2019 marked a milestone for Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, one of China's three major aviation hubs, when its annual passenger throughput reached 70 million, and became the newest member of the "70 million passenger club” in the world. The Airport now has a route network of 230 destinations worldwide, including 94 international and regional destinations; its more than 300 routes include 166 international and regional routes, connecting 94 destinations on 5 continents, including 50 cities in 29 countries along the “Belt and Road”. The airport places Guangzhou in a “4-hour air traffic circle” with major cities in China and Southeast Asia, and a “12-hour air traffic circle” with major cities around the world.

            Guangzhou North Railway Station

            With daily passenger traffic of about 50,000, the Station connects Beijing–Guangzhou Railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Rail, Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Rail, Lines 8 and 9 of Guangzhou Metro, Guangzhou-Foshan Intercity Ring Rail, and Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Rail among others. After expansion, as the terminal station for Guangzhou-Heyuan High-speed Rail and Guangzhou-Qingyuan-Yongzhou High-speed Rail, and Guangning Branch Line of Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Rail, the Station will have 18 platforms and 37 tracks for ordinary railways, high-speed rails, intercity rails, and Metro lines, and become a large comprehensive transport hub in South China.

            An air-railway combined transport hub with 10-minute connection

            With Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Guangzhou North Railway Station being connected by subway, intercity rail, thruway, light rail, and other means to enable quick transit in as little as 10 minutes, and air-railway combined transport, Huadu District has emerged as an international transport hub and a foreign trade platform, serving as a cooperation portal through which Guangzhou can lead the Pearl River Delta, influence South China, and reach the rest of the world.
